    Product Description :
    Masinqo: is a one stringed fiddle or a violin like instrument that is played with a curved bow. It has a square or diamond-shaped wooden resonator that is usually covered with with a rawhide. The resonator is connected to the tuning peg by a piece of wood. Both strings on the masinqo and the bow are made of several strands of horsehair. The string on the masinqo is sounded by drawing the bow across its lower section while placing fluttering fingers of the left hand on the upper section of the string to produce a cascade of whistling and breathy pressed notes and harmonics.
