This is a rare souvenir program from the Monday, May 5th, 1986 Royal Gala Preview Performance of the Original West End production of the JERRY HERMAN and HARVEY FIERSTEIN musical "LA CAGE AUX FOLLES"
at the London Palladium in London. (The Original Broadway production opened August 21st, 1983 and ran for 1761 performances. The London production would open May 7th, 1986 and run for 301 performances.) ..... The Benefit Performance, attended by Her Royal Highness, The Princess Margaret, was in aid of the Jewish Welfare Board charity. The show starred GEORGE HEARN (who originated his Tony Award winning role of "Albin" on Broadway) and DENIS QUILLEY and featured BRIAN GLOVER, PHYLLIDA LAW, MARK HARRIS, JONATHAN MORRIS, RICHARD OWENS, WENDY ROE, JULIA SUTTON, DONALD WAUGH and the notorious "LES CAGELLES" .....
