This is a rare script from the 1985 INNER CIRCLE SHOW REBUTTAL which was held at the New York Hilton on May 9th, 1985 ..... The Inner Circle is an annual event in which New York's City Hall reporters willingly don costumes and perform a two-act musical lampooning the mayor. The 1985 show starred Mayor EDWARD I. KOCH, in a year when he was successfully re-elected to office and featured the cast of the Off-Broadway ALAN MENKEN and HOWARD ASHMAN musical comedy hit "LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS". Special guest stars included JOHN HOUSEMAN and Dr. RUTH WESTHEIMER. The cast members of "CITY HALL OF HORRORS" included FYVUSH FINKEL, SUZZANNE DOUGLAS, NICKY RENE, MELODEE SAVAGE, MARSHA SKAGGS, KEN LAND, BRAD MORANZ, LYNN HIPPEN and MICHAEL LESLIE ..... The show featured a script by CLARK WHELTON and new lyrics by HOWARD ASHMAN. Song titles included "City Hall of Horrors", "Down on Park Row", "A Chicken in Every Pot" and "Don't Eat the Mayor". The program also includes two different illustrations of Mayor ED KOCH and the cast of "LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS" by artist PAUL RIGBY who created the well known images used to promote the Off-Broadway hit .....
