Here is an absolutely superb fossil fish plate, from the world-famous fossil beds of Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, about 52 million years ago. From the Gastropod layer, where some of the finest fossils are found.
There are 4 Knightia and 1 Diplomystus on this wonderful plate. All are gorgeous, and complete.  They range from 4.4" to 5.4", and the Diplomystus is about 5.3".  There is the remnant of an additional fossil fish, near the Diplomystus (photo 12).  There are also a couple remnants of Gastropods (fossil snails).
The plate is about 15.4" by about 13", and it weighs about 12 pounds 11.9 oz.  There is another remnant of a gastropod on the reverse side.  The plate is extremely cool, with the hardened waves of silt, etc. giving a great natural  rustic look.
This would look super in a lodge or museum or lobby, or any collection.  The gastropod layer won't go on forever, it is great to take advantage while they are available.  I will definitely miss these when they are no longer available.
