Vintage Art Deco Signed Wachenheimer Pendant Necklace Sterling Silver & Enamel

Beautiful and intact, authentic from the Art Deco Period 1920's, singed Wachenheimer sterling silver and enamel pendant necklace.
The fancy Art Deco chain can be adjusted to different lengths.
The round drop pendant is 1" in diameter X 3/16" depth, with a marcasite in the center.
On the back, the pendant opens up revealing a small round compartment.
Also, all around the drop pendant by the sides, there are small openings which create the illusion of black enamel. They are however hollow openings.
We are not sure what the purpose of the round opening space was. Probably for perfume?
